So, I joined tumblr and was inspired by all of the pictures to make a picture book similar to scrapbooking, but with pictures i print out. So colored ink is very expensive, is there a way to save money there. And also if anyone has ideas to make my book more fun or interesting please tell me! Hey there!
I got a scrapbook like a year ago,(it was a present) and I have only gone to one scarpbooking class, and only did 2 pages. I enjoyed it, but found it way too expencive.. I want to do it at home, and use things i can find around the house… like scrap around the house that i can use. I dont want to spend to much money on scrapbooking, afterall, why is it called ‘scrap’booking..?
So i just wanted to know, what kinds of material could i use instead of actually going outside and buying all those expencive materials..
I want to do substatutes, for example, instead of painting something brown, i’d soak it on coffee, and i’d use scrap material etc…
Any other idea on what i can use ???

I have lots of hobbies so I tend use use scraps of other projects in my scrapbook. I’ve used scraps of fabric, lace, buttons, ribbon, stickers, pieces of old gift bags, or wrapping paper. crumpled paper that’s been flattened, old greeting cards. Brush sand paper around the edges of white core paper like the scrapbooking paper. Dry embossing is pretty cheap and i’m sure you can substitute the tools and spend almost nothing. it makes a beautiful effect. There’s just so many things you can add. I know it can get expensive and I’m trying not to spend too much either
